Their job is to counsel men and women about the commitment to religious life and priesthood. They can suggest reading materials, arrange for visitations, answer questions and provide spiritual guidance candidates need.
The Diocesan Vocation Office can provide information about diocesan priesthood as well as general information about religious communities for men and women. Most religious communities have one or more members assigned to vocations.
