College students who are
interested in considering priesthood are invited to experience a
summer internship at the Fiat House. Students live at the Fiat
House, participate in the prayer and community life of the House, and
experience a variety of ministry experiences in the Joliet
area.
The duration of the
internship is dependent on the student's interests and the
availability of space at the Fiat House. Most internships are
between three and eight weeks. Scholarships pf $1800 to $3000 to
colleges and universities may be provided for some longer term
internships.
Ministry experiences may
include parish youth work, vacation Bible schools, volunteering at the
Daybreak shelter, nursing home and homebound visitations, young adult
ministry, and work with the poor.
