Priesthood Discernment Group

Of You My Heart Has Spoken

Join the Priesthood Discernment Group

What is the Discernment Group?

The Discernment Group, sponsored by the Joliet Diocese Vocation Office, provides an opportunity for men to gather monthly to:

1.      discuss issues concerning priestly life and ministry,

2.      pray together for one another as vocations are discerned, and

3.      provide fellowship and support among those who are considering a call to priesthood.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet other men thinking about priesthood and talk with several diocesan priests and seminarians as they discuss important issues in making an informed decision about their vocations.

Who Can Join the Discernment Group?

The Discernment Group is open to men of 17 years of age and older who want to meet informally once a month to discuss the possibility of priestly life and ministry. New members are always welcome.

Are you considering a call to priesthood? Would you like to know more about being a priest today?

If you answered "yes" to either of these questions, then the Discernment Group is for you.

How Do I Join the Discernment Group?

To join the Discernment Group, simply contact the vocation office via e-mail or by calling the vocation office at (815) 834-4004.

Come and see what the Discernment Group is all about.
If you have any questions or would like more information on priestly life and ministry,
please contact Fr. Burke Masters
